Dunn Brothers Coffee brewing excitement with 2025 GiftAMeal

WEST BEND — In an effort to combat food insecurity, Dunn Brothers Coffee has announced a partnership with GiftAMeal that began on Jan. 27, empowering guests to support local food pantries simply by visiting any Dunn Brothers Coffee.

According to the announcement, through the promotion, all orders will include a sticker with a unique QR code. By simply scanning the QR code, guests will be taken to a dedicated GiftAMeal webpage where they will be prompted to scan, snap and share a photo of their purchase to the page. Every time a guest follows the instructions to share a photo, another meal is donated to a local food bank.

According to West Bend Dunn Bros owner Al Jung, this partnership is an opportunity for the organization and their customers to easily support those in need.

“When Dunn Brothers said that they were starting this program that is so easy-peasy — just scan the QR code, snap a picture and share and we will donate food to the local food bank to support the local pantry — I think that’s huge,” Jung said. “It’s huge to know that a business here is supporting some of the community that is a little bit less fortunate than some of us are.”

The news release also noted that each participating Dunn Brothers location is geo-tagged to ensure donations directly benefit its surrounding community.

Aside from the actual initiative itself, Jung also expressed hope that the organizations’ participation can also raise awareness for the greater issue of food insecurity and inspire others to do their part to help others in need.

“On another level, it’s about awareness,” Jung said. “We need to understand that there are needs in our community and in all communities, and for us to be able help even in a small way — the donations notwithstanding, but the awareness of it — we may look at ourselves and realize that we are more fortunate than others and we can find ways to help.”
